I prefer paper books. To me there is no debate between to which one I would choose. It is easier for me to read on the paper books. Also, I like the feeling of flipping the pages. It is easier for my eyes to read on paper and not on a screen.
Ebooks are difficult to flip the pages. When you read, you don't get the same feeling that you do with paper books. It may be easier to travel with ebooks, but it is more of a hassle to download the book you want to read. When you go to the library, you have all the books that are available to you. Im my opinion, paper books are better.

I have a digital portfolio and I don't find it as an advantage to learning. A digital portfolio requires constant uploading to add your current project. They need to be constantly saved in many different formats for people to see it. You can't bring the link to your website to an interview. They still require a paper copy with you, even if you sent an electronic version before hand.
Older projects can only be on there for a short period of time until a new project takes over. Once the time for the project is over, it is no longer viable to what you have. There is no way that you will know if the person you are sharing it with will be compatible with technology. There are many disadvantages to digital portfolios and those are just a few. |
